All schools and kindergartens in Bishkek to reopen in March: acting mayor

Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2021. / Kabar /. All schools and kindergartens in Bishkek will open on March 1, but only if the dynamics of new cases of infection persist, Acting Mayor of the capital Balbak Tulobayev said Monday at a meeting of the Bishkek City Council.

He also added two kindergartens and one hospital will be built this year at the expense of the municipal budget.

Last week, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issue Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliyev said that schools will start traditional education within two weeks, if no new strain of coronavirus arrives in the country.

The capital schools for grades 1, 5, 9 and 11 started traditional working on Jan. 18.

Meanwhile, all schools and kindergartens in Dzhalal-Abad town (Dzhalal-Abad Oblast) started on Feb. 1 work in traditional mode.

All schools across Kyrgyzstan were closed down on March 18, 2020 in order to prevent contamination with coronavirus infection.
