Alley being created in Uzbek capital to mourn medics killed by COVID-19

Tashkent, Dec. 9, 2021 . / Kabar / . A campaign in honor of health care workers who gave their lives in combating the pandemic will start in the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent, the press service of the capital administration of Uzbekistan said.

On Dec. 11, a memorial alley will be laid at the entrance to Victory Park. At the first stage 61 trees will be planted: plane trees, elm trees and acacia trees.

The campaign to mourn health workers is organized by the Association of Landscape Art of Uzbekistan together with the administration of Almazar district with the sponsorship of individuals and companies.

The list of Fidokorlar (Selfless) Telegram channel, which is dedicated to the memory of the fallen doctors in 2020, includes more than 485 people.
