Bishkek, June 2, 2021. / Kabar /. In January-May 2021, Kyrgyzstan’s State Registration Service registered 19 thousand 498 acts of marriage. More than 20% of all marriages were conducted in Osh Oblast.
According to the Registration Service of the republic, most of marriages were registered in Osh Oblast - 4,092, the least - in Talas Oblast - 738.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Bishkek accounted for the largest number of divorces - 897, while the fewest were registered in Talas Oblast - 174.
The State Registration Service added that the procedure for registration of marriage and divorce was simplified.
Now, if one of the former spouses filed for divorce in the registry office, and the other ex-spouse did it later, information about it is entered in the previously made record on the dissolution of marriage.
