Almost 30 teachers arrive in Osh from Russia to work in local schools

Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2021. / Kabar /. 29 teachers have arrived in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city from Russia to work in local schools, the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.

The project was reportedly launched in 2019, when 17 elementary school teachers, teachers of Russian language, literature and mathematics arrived in southern Kyrgyzstan for the first time.

Talks on further expanding the program, including to the capital and other regions of the country will take place in Bishkek.

In Kyrgyzstan, the project was launched in the 2019-2020 school year.

At that time, 17 teachers of Russian language and literature, mathematics, and elementary school teachers arrived in Osh for the first time. In 2020/2021, the project continued, and the number of project participants increased to 29. The teachers were already assigned to secondary schools in Osh at the beginning of the school year, but due to quarantine measures, they were teaching online while in the Russian Federation.

After the epidemiological situation improved, it became possible to continue the training in person, and the group has arrived in Osh.
