Bishkek, Feb.27, 2020. /Kabar/. By the end of 2019, in Kyrgyzstan loan to the economy grew by 14.9%, and made KGS 150 billion, Economy Minister of the country Sanjar Mukanbetov said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, participants of the State Mortgage Company’s program received a total of 4,566 mortgage loans worth KGS 5 million 335.46 million.
"Of these, 694 credits for a total of KGS 1 billion were issued in 2019. Also, under the Social Mortgage Program, 723 loans worth KGS 1 billion 54 million were issued through Keremet Bank. At present, more than 4,000 families are on the waiting list," Mukanbetov said.
The economy minister added in order to facilitate lending to small and medium businesses, the Guarantee Fund OJSC as of Dec.1, 2019 issued 1,348 guarantees worth KGS 1,512 million, while the amount of loans to small and medium businesses doubled, making KGS 5 billion 162 million.
