Bishkek, Nov.21, 2024. /Kabar/. As of October this year, 71,949 Kyrgyz citizens stay in Russia with violations of migration laws (“in the risk zone”), the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported citing Russia's competent authorities.
This category of citizens includes those persons for whom the database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs does not contain information about their conclusion of labor or civil law contracts, or undergoing fingerprint registration and medical examination, or migration registration, etc.
If citizens have valid documents confirming their legal stay on the territory of the Russian Federation, they should apply to the territorial migration departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and provide such documents to be included in the relevant database in order to remove themselves from the “risk zone”.
From Feb. 5, 2025 changes to the Federal Law “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” will come into force in Russia. Foreign citizens who were staying on the territory of Russia without legal grounds and did not leave the country or did not acquire legal grounds for stay (residence) will be entered into the register of controlled persons and will be subject to the regime of expulsion.
