At the staff meeting on Monday, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov presented the latest data of the World Bank monitoring “Listening to the Kyrgyz Republic” for the period from December 2021 to October 2024 on socio-economic well-being of the population.
The study says that among the population, the level of confidence that the country is moving in the right direction has also increased significantly. Among rural residents, the figure increased from 71% in 2021 to 89% in 2024, while among city dwellers it increased from 56% to 86%.
The percentage of citizens who are confident in the effectiveness of the fight against corruption has also shown impressive growth. Among the urban population, this figure increased from 60% in December 2021 to 88% in September 2024, and among rural residents from 83% to 89%.
In addition, satisfaction with the government's interaction with citizens increased from 61% in 2021 to 79% in 2024 among rural households, while satisfaction among urban residents increased from 46% to 74%.
