Bishkek, March 27, 2023. / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of India Askar Beshimov presented his credentials to President of the Republic of India, Draupadi Murmu on March 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
During the conversation, topical issues of further development of the traditionally friendly Kyrgyz-Indian relations of strategic partnership were discussed.
Draupadi Murmu welcomed Askar Beshimov and wished him good luck and fruitful work for the benefit of strengthening friendly relations between India and the Kyrgyz Republic. The president especially noted the high level of cooperation in the education sector and expressed gratitude for the creation of favorable conditions for more than 15,000 Indian students in the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The ambassador conveyed greetings and good wishes from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and expressed his readiness to make every effort to strengthen the Kyrgyz-Indian bilateral strategic partnership.
President Murmu expressed gratitude and good wishes to President Zhaparov and stressed that the Indian side is looking forward to his visit to India this year.
Beshimov emphasized the special importance of India in the current world political processes, taking into account India's chairmanship in the SCO and the G20. In this context, the parties noted that one of the main events of the current year in bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and India will be the visit of Sadyr Zhaparov to participate in the SCO summit in July 2023.
