Bishkek, Mar. 4, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Dzhunusov visited Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions of Uzbekistan on March 1-2.
The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan reported that during the visit the Ambassaor met Deputy Hokim of Andijan region Kholmatov, Hokim of the city of Andijan Rakhmatullaev, Hokim of Namangan region Bozarov and Hokim of Fergana region Ganiev. At the meeting, issues of further expansion of interaction between the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, including by increasing the range and volume of mutual trade, creating joint ventures, as well as enhancing cultural and humanitarian cooperation were dicussed.
Dzhunusov noted that the leadership of Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to the development of the regions, in particular, 2018 was declared in Kyrgyzstan as the Year of Regional Development, in the same year the concept of the regional policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for the period 2018-2022 was adopted. The authorities of Kyrgyzstan intend to give an additional impetus to the development of the regions of the republic using new technologies. In this regard, the year 2019 was declared the “Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country” by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
The ambassador also familiarized himself with the progress of implementation of programs intended for improvement of villages and mahallas, visited insulin and syringes production plants Zamin Bio Health and Makro Farm in Andijan region, silkworm cocoons enterprise Sof Ipak Invest and clothing factory IDEAL in Namangan region, a knitwear factory in Fergana region.
