Ambassador Dzhusupov attends event on occasion of new Austrian Gov’t formation

Bishkek, Jan.29, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Austria Bakyt Dzhusupov attended the event on occasion of the formation of the new Austrian Government, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

During the event, Dzhusupov conveyed greetings to federal chancellor on behalf of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and briefed him on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The events to mark the formation of the new Austrian Government took place on Jan.27 in Vienna.

Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said the new Federal Government has set itself the goal of pursuing an active foreign policy, based on r interests and values of the country - freedom, equality, democracy and respect for human rights.

In his welcoming speech, he highlighted the issue of immigration and the green economy as priorities for the Government.

For his part, Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg, referring to the 75th anniversary of the United Nations and 65th anniversary of the country's membership in the UN, noted international cooperation is of paramount importance, especially for Austria as the organization's headquarters.
