Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2019./ Kabar/. On Dec.10-11 Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Czech Republic Bakyt Dzhusupov paid a visit to Prague to present a copy of his Credentials.
On the first day of the visit, a copy of credentials was presented, in accordance with Czech practice, to the Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Marketa Šarbochová.
Then there were meetings with the deputy directors of the Department of Asia and the Department of Economic Diplomacy.
During the presentation of a copy of Credentials, as well as the other meetings, issues on the agenda of Kyrgyz-Czech cooperation were discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction its growing level on all issues of bilateral interaction, especially on issues of inter-parliamentary and economic cooperation. Both sides also expressed their opinion on the consideration of mutual visits at the highest level. In the context of the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, they emphasized the importance of strengthening interaction between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
The diplomats emphasized that, following the results of the meetings of the two foreign ministers in Munich and New York, the parties reached a number of agreements and it is necessary to make every effort to implement them.
Particular attention at the meetings was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation and the expansion of the legal framework in this direction, as well as the protection of the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic located in the Czech Republic.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Czech Republic Bakyt Dzhusupov on December 10, 2019 in Prague met with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in the Czech Republic. Expressing gratitude to compatriots who arrived at the meeting with the diaspora, the Ambassador spoke about the current state of bilateral Kyrgyz-Czech relations and the work of the Embassy to activate them. Diaspora representatives were able to address the Ambassador with questions of interest to them.
As part of this meeting, consultation was conducted with citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the protection of the rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are engaged in labor activities, the provision of passport and visa services and notarial acts, on the powers to provide legal assistance in civil and family matters in compliance with the laws of the host state, registration of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic located within the consular district, etc.
On the second day in Prague, meetings were held with the Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic, Jakub Kulhanek, Executive Director of the Czech Export Bank Jaroslav Vyborny and the Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Martin Pospisil.
The main topics of discussion at the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs were the migration and visa policies of the Czech Republic and the protection of the rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens in the Czech Republic.
Joint actions were discussed with J. Kulhanek, which should facilitate and simplify the legal stay and the issue of various categories of visas to the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as establishing cooperation between the competent authorities of the two countries in this field and signing an agreement to develop cooperation.
At the Czech Export Bank, the parties discussed ongoing projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan through a bank credit line, as well as the possibility of implementing other infrastructure projects in the country.
In the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, the parties expressed satisfaction with the successful visit of Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Marta Novakova in April of this year to Kyrgyzstan with a meeting of the Working Group on the Coordination of Trade and Economic Cooperation and the signing of the Agreement on Avoiding Double Taxation between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Czech Republic.
It is agreed to begin preparations for the second meeting of the specified working group and to intensify work on signing the Agreement on the Protection and Promotion of Investments and the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
