Ambassador Erlan Abdyldaev presented his credentials to Pope Francis

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2021. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Holy See with residence in Berlin Erlan Abdyldaev presented the Letters of Credence to Pope Francis on Dec. 17.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that during the audience with the Pope, Ambassador Erlan Abdyldaev conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov.

In his address, Pope Francis expressed satisfaction with the level of interaction and cooperation between the countries, and also wished peace and prosperity to the people of Kyrgyzstan.

As part of his visit to the Vatican, Ambassador Abdyldaev also met with Secretary of State (Prime Minister) of the Vatican - Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Deputy Secretary of State for General Affairs Edgar Parra, Secretary for Relations with States (Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Vatican) Paul Gallagher and Head of Vatican Protocol Services Joseph Murphy.

During the above meetings, Ambassador Abdyldaev informed the interlocutors about the main directions of political and economic reforms in Kyrgyzstan, discussed issues of further development of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Vatican in various fields.

They also exchanged views on the joint celebration in 2022 of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Vatican.
