Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2018. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Erik Beishembiev has invited the Pakistani students, businessmen and skilled workers to visit his country where countless opportunities await them to realize their dreams, Pakistan Observer reported.
Mr Erik Beishembiev was speaking at the reception marking 27th Independence Day of his country. Kyrgyzstan embassy had hosted the reception at Serena hotel that was attended by a large number of the members of the diplomatic corps, ambassadors and high commissioners, members of civil society, and prominent personalities.
The Ambassador and Mrs Beishembieva received the guests wearing traditional Kyrgyz dress. The guests took keen interest in Kyrgyz traditional dress: “Ak Kalpak” (white hat) for men and “beldemchi”— a tight sleeveless jacket with silver buttons over dressing gown for women.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs & Inter-faith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri was the chief guest on the occasion. Qadri congratulated Ambassador Erik Beishembiev on the historic occasion saying the bilateral relations between the two countries were based on mutual trust, long-term friendship and shared vision.
Pakistan values its friendship with Kyrgyzstan and I sincerely hope and wish exchange between business communities and students of the two countries will further enhance in the days to come, said Qadri.
Ambassador Erik Beishembiev said since establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992 Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan enjoyed excellent political relations and a number of exchanges made between the leadership of the two countries—Pakistani Prime Ministers visited Kyrgyzstan three time, Speakers of the Kyrgyzstan’s parliament visited Pakistan twice and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan paid an official visit to Pakistan.
Last year Kyrgyz-Pakistani International Institute of medical sciences was established in Kyrgyzstan and first Pakistani students will begin study there in current year.
“Throughout our long history, we had periods of rising and falling, including of the first Kyrgyz Khaganate – an ancient state in IX-X centuries, which covered vast territories from Siberia to Central Asia,” said the ambassador.
Cooperation in the field of education is developing actively and about 2,000 Pakistani students are studying in Kyrgyzstan mostly in medical universities, said the ambassador adding in 2017 first Kyrgyz-Pakistani International Institute for medical sciences has started its work in Kyrgyzstan.
Our country’s geostrategic position on the crossroads between Central Asia and China and further through Karakorum Pass to Pakistan opens excellent opportunities for regional trade and economic cooperation and connectivity, he said. He also invited Pakistani businessmen to look into opportunities of joint cooperation.
For Pakistani tourists Kyrgyzstanto is an ideal country to visit. Its beautiful mountains cover more than 90pc of the territory. The highest mountain peaks of the world after the Himalayas and Pamir are located in Kyrgyzstan.
Besides, the Kyrgyz lake Issyk-Kul is the second largest high mountain lake in the world after Titicaca in South America. In September this year the Third World Nomad Games successfully passed at the Issyk-Kul lake with participation of more than 2300 athletes from 80 countries, including Pakistan.
The lake is also a place of the 3rd International Issyk-Kul forum which started on Oct 5, 2018 in memory of the prominent Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz-Aitmatov, whose books have been translated into 176 languages and published in 80 million copies. Kyrgyzstan he said provides a visa-free regime for more than 60 countries and recently introduced e-visa system.
