Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India Asein Isayev held a meeting with India's Deputy Minister of Culture Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
During the meeting, Isayev noted that Kyrgyzstan and India are linked by centuries of history and culture, which have become an integral part of the development of human contacts and the rapprochement of the peoples of the two countries.
"The smbassador reported that in view of the epidemiological situation in the world, the cross Year of Culture between the two countries has been postponed to 2022. In this regard, he offered to work closely on the organization of joint cultural events in both countries during the next year," the report said.
In order to expand the existing cultural ties between the two countries, the Kyrgyz ambassador proposed to sign the Cultural Exchange Program between the countries, aimed at strengthening contacts in areas such as music, dance, film, exhibitions, seminars, archaeology, museum work, etc.
The Indian side expressed its willingness to jointly identify priority areas of cooperation and further promote them.
