Ambassador Kemelova meets Director of Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat

Bishkek, Feb. 20, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova met Executive Director of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat Kim Song-Young.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed the work plan of the Secretariat for 2019, within which 6 main areas of cooperation between Central Asia and Korea had been developed: transport/logistics; energy; modernization/diversification of industry; climate change and environment; health and medical services; education and culture.

Along with this, the progress of preparation of the festival “Nooruz” in the period from March 20 to April 27 of this year was discussed in Seoul with the participation of five Central Asian countries. Moreover, a planned visit of the Korean delegation that includes Korea Maritime Institute, Korea Water Resources Corporation and Korea Energy Economics Institute to Kyrgyzstan with a view to hold consultation meetings with the Kyrgyz side on development of fisheries, transportation and logistics, renewable energy and water was discussed.
