Ambassador Kemelova participates in Friendship Night 2021in South Korea

Bishkek, Nov. 29, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova took part in the Friendship Night 2021 event organized by Gyeongju University together with the Daegu City Hall and Gyeongsang Province.

The event was attended by Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Lee Cheol-woo, Daegu Mayor Kwon Yong-jin, senior officials, representatives of the province's business, medical and academic communities, and the diplomatic corps, including ambassadors from Vietnam, Poland, Romania, and Kyrgyzstan.

In her opening speech, Kemelova drew participants' attention to this year's celebration of Kyrgyzstan’s 30th anniversary of independence, as well as next year's celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea. The Kyrgyz ambassador talked about the tourism potential and beautiful nature of mountainous Kyrgyzstan.

Kemelova also spoke briefly with provincial governor Lee Cheol-woo and Daegu Mayor Kwon Yong-jin, with whom she discussed opportunities for twinning with local Kyrgyz authorities, cooperation in energy, healthcare, ensuring access to clean drinking water, attracting labor from Kyrgyzstan and interregional exchanges.

Kemelova visited Dongsan Hospital, where prospects for cooperation in healthcare, in building the capacity of hospitals in Kyrgyzstan were discussed, as well as providing assistance to Kyrgyz citizens.
