Ambassador Maripov meets with governor of Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia

Bishkek, Oct. 30, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef Al Saud.

The sides noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

The ambassador and the governor also discussed the development of trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, promotion of tourism and establishment of business contacts between Kyrgyzstan and the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.

Maripov spoke in detail about trade, economic and investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, socio-economic achievements and rapid development of the national economy of the country, large investment projects being implemented, as well as favorable conditions for foreign investors created by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.

Noting the important role of representatives of private sectors of the two states in the activation of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries, he noted that in November-December of this year it is expected to hold the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Saudi intergovernmental commission in Bishkek, as well as the visit of a large business delegation of Saudi Arabia headed by the Chairman of the Federation of the KSA Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the Kyrgyz Republic.

In turn, Prince Al Saud thanked his interlocutor for the work done to strengthen bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia and agreed with the ambassador's opinion on the need to intensify trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.

He also noted the Eastern Province is the largest industrial region and one of the country's major points for business. In this regard, the governor expressed interest in activation of relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia in investment and trade-economic directions, as well as readiness to assist as much as possible in establishing contacts with the business community of the province.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue working on the promotion of the discussed issues, including the rapprochement of the private sectors of the two brotherly states.
