Bishkek, June 14, 2024. / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Aidit Erkin presented his credentials to His Royal Highness Henri the Grand Duke of Luxembourg on June 13, the Foreign Ministry reported.
During the audience, Ambassador Erkin conveyed greetings from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, informed about the socio-economic reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan, and also presented a book-album depicting characters from the works of great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
In turn, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg noted with particular warmth that he had the pleasure of meeting Chyngyz Aitmatov, in whose honor one of the streets of the capital of the Grand Duchy is named, and expressed hope that ties between Luxembourg and Kyrgyzstan will develop and strengthen as on a bilateral basis and within the framework of cooperation with the European Union.
In addition, as part of the ceremony for presenting his credentials, Ambassador Erkin held meetings with representatives of the administration of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, the Ministries of Foreign and European Affairs, Defense, Cooperation and Foreign Trade, as well as the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, at which the prospects for political and commercial economic cooperation, and issues of the regional and global agenda were discussed.
