Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2021 . / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with former Foreign Minister and Head of the Turkish Parliament Hikmet Cetin, the press service of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission reported.
The sides noted the importance of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey when on the historic day – Dec. 23, 1991 the relevant Protocol was signed and it was signed by Hikmet Cetin from the Turkish side.
The former foreign minister of Turkey noted that the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations is a historical fact.
Ambassador Omuraliev spoke about the development of bilateral relations during the years of Independence and emphasized the strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Hikmet Cetin is a Turkish politician and statesman. In 1991-1994 served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and in 1995 – as Deputy Prime Minister.
In 1997-1999, Cetin was the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
