Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2019. /Kabar/. On January 18, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Omuraliyev took part in the annual meeting with President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, during which he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Economy and Innovations of Lithuania. During the meeting, a brief conversation on bilateral cooperation took place.
The visit also included bilateral meetings with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius, Director of the Eastern Neighborhood Policy Department of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, Counsellor of the Exports and Investment Promotion Division of the External Economic Relations and Economic Security Policy Department of the Foreign Ministry of Lithuania Vidmantas Verbickas and Advisor to the Speaker of Parliament Lithuanian Vaidotas Verba.
During the conversations that took place, the current state and prospects of development of the Kyrgyz-Lithuanian bilateral cooperation were discussed. The sides elaborated on the organization of visits at the highest and high levels, in particular the creation of a parliamentary friendship group in the Lithuanian Parliament for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The parties agreed to hold a Kyrgyz-Lithuanian ministerial consultations in March 2019. In addition, issues of the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, tourism and trade and economic cooperation were discussed.
