Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2024. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Japan Erkinbek Osoev held a meeting with Masayuki Hirosawa, Director General of JICA Department for East, Central Asia and Caucasus.
During the meeting, Ambassador Osoev expressed his gratitude to JICA for the support provided to the Kyrgyz side and contribution to the sustainable economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Speaking about joint projects with JICA, he focused on such areas of cooperation as development of road transport infrastructure, improvement of air traffic control equipment at international airports, improvement of training of specialists in civil aviation, development of agriculture, tourism, increase of export potential, expansion of the “One Village - One Product” project, modernization of hydroelectric power plant infrastructure and others.
Masayuki Hirosawa emphasized that JICA intends to focus on projects in the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at the development of economy, agriculture, tourism, energy, road transport infrastructure and improvement of equipment for air traffic control at international airports and confirmed readiness to deepen and expand cooperation in these areas and effective implementation of joint projects.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to strengthen bilateral economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
