Kyrgyz Ambassador meets with Russian Foreign Minister

Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2019. / Kabar /. At the invitation of the Russian side, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Bolot Otunbayev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the completion of the diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, Lavrov warmly congratulated his colleague on his appointment as Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States, stressed that the Russian side appreciates the efforts of the Kyrgyz Embassy in the Russian Federation to build up bilateral ties, taking into account allied relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. He noted that a lot of work was done to maintain the dynamics of the political dialogue, highlighted the joint work carried out in the migration sphere.

The sides expressed a mutual opinion on maintaining contacts at all levels of multidimensional cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation and the need for a lot of work on organizing new productive meetings, including the upcoming state visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimit Putin to Kyrgyzstan.
