Ambassador Sydykov: Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have equal views

Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have the same ideas about the fundamental principles and ideas for the development of the state, improving welfare and further improving people's lives, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov said at the round table held on Feb.7 in Tashkent. It was devoted to discussion of implementation of measures in the sphere of ensuring the rule of law and further reforming the judicial and legal system of Uzbekistan.

The Kyrgyz Ambassador said that the court is one of the most important instruments of the state in strengthening interethnic harmony, civil peace and unity of the people. "In the Kyrgyz Republic, as in fraternal Uzbekistan, the judicial system plays an important role in building civil society and developing the economy of the state. With this in mind, on Aug. 8, 2012, the Presidential Decree on Measures to Improve Justice in the Kyrgyz Republic was adopted, as a result of which, to date, legal foundations have been created in our country and the process of building a national justice system based on the principles of justice and the rule of law has been launched," Ambassador Sydykov said in his speech.

The Head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission stressed that the judicial reform in Kyrgyzstan is only gaining momentum. However, fundamentally new, solid foundation of aself-sustained and independent judiciary, having the trust of citizenshas already been created.

"Reforms in the judicial system are part of the nationwide digital transformation program of Taza Koom - a key component of the Sustainable Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2040. Taza Koom - is a high-tech program to build an open and transparent state that serves citizens, around a person and for a person, where a person’s life, rights and freedoms are the priority," the Ambassador emphasized.

In conclusion, Sydykov expressed his gratitude to Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kozimdjan Kamilov for the invitation to take part in this event. At the same time, the Ambassador especially stressed the holding by the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan the 12th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states’ Chairmen of Supreme Courts at the highest organizational and content level last October. Sydykov also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality provided to the Kyrgyz delegation headed by Chairwoman of the Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan Ainash Tokbaeva .
