Tashkent, Feb.28, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov met with Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Dusen Kaseinov, Kabar correspondent has learnt from the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the sides noted great role of TURKSOY in the development and strengthening of cultural ties of Turkic-speaking countries, as well as discussed joint activities, planned for this year within the celebration of Nooruz and declaration the Uzbek city of Khiva the cultural capital of the Turkic world 2020.
Ambassador Junusov thanked Dusen Kaseinov for his personal support in holding the events in the Year of Osh-Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2019.
At the end of the meeting, the TURKSOY secretary general presented Ibrahim Junusov with a book by Chyngyz Aitmatov and Ush Arys book, which was published by the Organization.
The International Organization of Turkic Culture is an international cultural organization of countries with Turkic populations, speaking languages belonging to the Turkic language family.
TURKSOY carries out activities to strengthen cultural ties between Turkic peoples.
One of the main goals to transmit their common cultural heritage to future generations and promote it around the world.
