Ambassadors of Cuba, Slovakia and Lebanon present copies of credentials to Kyrgyz MFA

Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2019. / Kabar /. Ambassadors of Cuba, Slovakia and Lebanon presented copies of credentials to deputy ministers of foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the country reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov held meetings and received copies of credentials from Ambassadors of the Republic of Cuba Emilio Pevida Pupo and the Slovak Republic Milan Collard.

During the meeting with the Cuban ambassador, the sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties across the entire spectrum of cooperation, the prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Cuba, both bilaterally and within international organizations. The sides noted the willingness of the Cuban side to establish cooperation in the agricultural, educational spheres and cooperation between the relevant departments of the two countries in the area of ​​health.

During the bilateral meeting, Madmarov and the ambassador of Slovakia, the sides discussed issues of Kyrgyz-Slovak cooperation and expressed readiness for further close cooperation, with emphasis on expanding trade and economic cooperation. The sides also noted the importance of maintaining dialogue in a multilateral format, including within the framework of the chairmanship of the Slovak Republic in the OSCE in 2019.

In addition, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlan Abdrakhmanov received copies of credentials from Giscard El-Khoury, the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic, with a residence in Astana.

“During the conversation, an exchange of views on the prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Lebanese relations took place and mutual interest was confirmed in their further deepening,” the report said.

Abdrakhmanov wished the newly appointed ambassador success in his diplomatic mission and assured of support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in his responsible activities.
