Another 16 doctors become infected with coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Apr. 13, 2020 / Kabar /. Another 16 medical workers became infected with COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan,Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usonbaev told.

He said that to date, the total number of medical workers with a positive diagnosis of coronavirus is 79.

“There has been an increase in infection among healthcare providers. But I want to note that the same picture is observed all over the world. Here the reasons may be different. According to the WHO, there are cases when doctors contacted patients too closely, stayed close to the patient for a long time, or had close contact while informing the public, etc. Each case will be investigated carefully,” said Usonbaev.

42 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, taking the total number to 419.
