Bishkek, Apr. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. Passengers arriving from Istanbul to Bishkek, among whom one was infected COVID-19, are placed under home quarantine, Chief Sanitary Doctor and Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said Sunday.
According to him, all of them are under medical supervision.
"We have prepared in advance to receive our compatriots who are trying to return home. 211 people have arrived on Ankara-Istanbul-Bishkek flight on Apr. 17. One of them has a positive result on coronavirus. He has been accommodated at infectious disease hospital," he said.
Usenbayev noted all those contacted with COVID-19 patient have been placed under surveillance.
In addition, the chief sanitary doctor said there are Kyrgyz citizens who arrived from Novosibirsk, they are also under surveillance.
He added another flight from Istanbul had arrived with 351 passengers on board, all of them tested negative for COVID-19.
As of Apr. 26 morning, 17 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Kyrgyzstan, bringing the total number to 682.

There are 13 COVID-19 patients are in hospitals in serious condition, 6 of them are in intensive care.
8 patients have passed away.
