Armed members of organized criminal group detained during special operation in Jalal-Abad

Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2019. /Kabar/. During the search operations in the city of Jalal-Abad, 9 members of a criminal group were arrested.

The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Jalal-Abad oblast reported that the detention was made in one of the apartments of a multi-storey residential building in Sputnik microdistrict. During the search, weapons and ammunition were found. Earlier, officers of the Criminal Police Service received information on weapons possession.

This fact was registered in the Single Register of Crimes and Offenses, pre-trial proceedings started under Article 253 part 2 (“Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms (except for slug gun and ammunition) ammunition, explosives and explosive devices”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

A special arrest operation was conducted on February 5th. Of the 9 detainees, only one had not been previously convicted, all the others had previously been convicted of committing serious and vetry serious crimes, brought to justice, are members of the organized criminal group.

During the searches, a rifle weapon and ammunition were found in the number of 8 pieces of 10.65 caliber. Everything seized has been sent for forensic ballistic examination.

During the investigative measures, a resident of Changyr-Tash village, Suzak region, T.Y., born in 1988, admitted that everything that was taken belongs to him. Previously, he had been prosecuted for robbery. This citizen was placed in the temporary detention center of Jalal-Abad City Department of Internal Affairs, and investigative measures are being taken with respect to the rest.

The investigation showed that among the detainees there was a member of a criminal group Zamirbek Sh. Uulu, who had been previously wanted after his escape from correctional institution No. 43 of the city of Kyzyl-Kiya. Criminal case has been initiated in this regard under Art. 349 p.1 (“Escape from the Detention Facility or from Custody”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The detainee is a native of Markaz village of Kadamjai region of Batken oblast, previously convicted under article 172 (“Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty”) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, illegal seizure of a car and other vehicles, theft, robbery and murder of a person.
