Artem Novikov inspects burnt-out school in Batken Oblast, gives number of instructions

Bishkek, Dec. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. During his working trip to Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of republic Artem inspected a school in the village of Chon-Talaa, Batken region, where fire occurred on Monday, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said.

Local authorities are instructed to carry out repair and restoration work in the school building together with the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services under the Government.

"It is necessary to carry out work towards early restoration of the school building. The appropriate financial resources will be allocated," Artem Novikov said.

The school, built in 1980 has a capacity of 180 seats and was attended by over 300 students.

At the moment of fire, which happened this morning, there were no pupils at the school and no victims reported.
