Bishkek, April 1, 2022 . / Kabar /. Artisans from Kyrgyzstan's regions are participating in the largest festival in India, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
Faridabad city of Haryana state is hosting from March 19 to April 4 the annual 35th International Festival of Traditional Crafts Surajkund Mela.
"The idea behind the festival is to present the diversity of rural indigenous crafts and folk dances of the world. The festival is also held to promote national handmade souvenirs. Gifted and highly skilled artisans from all over India and from other countries showcase rich craft traditions in a typical rustic setting," the report said.
This year, in addition to the states of India, representatives from more than 40 countries are also participating in the festival.
Kyrgyz craftswomen presented products in the form of national clothing and household items, as well as agricultural products in the form of dried fruits and honey.
