Artists from Turkic-speaking countries arrive in Osh

Osh, May 27, 2019 /Kabar/. A solemn meeting of artists of Turkic-speaking countries took place at the international airport of Osh on May 25.

Deputy Mayor of Osh Nurbek Kadyrov, employees of the social development department of the Osh Mayor’s Office and culture figures took part in the solemn meeting.

The delegation of artists includes Kojogeldi Kultegin, the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the TURKSOY International Organization of Turkic Culture, artists from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Yakutia, Bashkortostan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan.

Artists arrived to take part in the “Ancient Osh city through the eyes of the 21st century” plein air of the artists.

TURKSOY is the UNESCO of the Turkic World and was established in 1993 upon signature of its founding agreement by the Ministers of Culture of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Later on, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation; Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Altai, Sakha, Tyva and Khakassia as well as the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Moldova) joined TURKSOY as member states with an observer status.
