Asia Mall shopping center in Bishkek cordoned off due to bomb threat

Bishkek, Aug. 11, 2022. /Kabar/. The Asia Mall shopping center is cordoned off due to reports of a planted bomb, Department of Internal Affairs of the Leninsky district told Kabar.

Today at about 13:56 an anonymous message was received about a bomb planted in the building of the Asia Mall shopping and entertainment center.

Immediately, an investigative-operational group and the leadership of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Leninsky district and the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek left for the place of the call.

In order to ensure the safety and evacuation of citizens, the territory of the building was cordoned off by police officers, and employees of the State Committee for National Security also arrived. Relevant search and verification activities are currently underway, details will be announced later, the Department of Internal Affairs said.
