Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz sportsman Torokan Bagynbai uulu won the country's first gold medal in the summer Asian Games in Indonesia.
The athlete performed today at the Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the weight category up to 69 kg, defeating the representatives of Turkmenistan and Thailand.
In the final fight, he performed against a fighter from the United Arab Emirates - Talib Alkirbi and won the fight. Thus, he is the first athlete from Kyrgyzstan, who won the gold medal.
In total, the Kyrgyz team has 4 bronze, 4 silver and now plus one gold medal.
