Bishkek, June 29, 2019. /Kabar/. The Asian Cup and the Central Asian triathlon Championship has started today, June 29 in Issyk-Kul Oblast, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports reported.
Kanat Amankulov, the Director of the State Agency, Danir Imanaliyev, the Head of Issyk-Kul region, athletes, judges, organizers and fans of the Asian Cup greeted all the participants.
In his welcoming speech to the Asian Cup participants, Kanat Amankulov noted that holding such competitions has become a good tradition and wished them good luck.
The prize fund for professional athletes is USD 10,000 (KGS 700,000), and for amateurs there are prizes and gifts from partners and sponsors of the event.
Representatives of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, China, Syria, Japan, Taiwan, Qatar and Kyrgyzstan take part in the tournament. The total number of participants is more than 300 people.
The Asian Cup and the Central Asian Triathlon Championship are organized by the Olympic Sports Directorate under the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports and the Triathlon Federation of Kyrgyzstan. The Directorate’s budget provides for KGS 1 million 147 thousand.
