Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2018. /Kabar/. A meeting was held at the State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports on Wednesday, to see the Paralympic team on their way to the Asian Para Games in Jakarta.
Deputy Director of the State Agency Kanatbek Arpachiev, in his speech, stressed that the team is showing good results.
“The games are preparation for the Paralympic Games. Therefore, I am sure that you will perform with dignity. As you know, Kyrgyz athletes performed well in Jakarta, winning 20 medals. Tremendous work, solid work of coaches and managers lies behind this success,” he noted.
Later, a solemn ceremony of handing over the flag of the country to captain Jyrgalbek Orosbaev was held.
The 3rd Summer Asian Para Games are to be held from October 6 to 13 in Indonesia. At the tournament, Kyrgyzstan will be represented by 5 athletes in two sports disciplines: three in powerlifting - Jyrgalbek Orosbaev, Adilet Kamchybekov, and Maksat Argymbaev, two in track and field athletics Arstan Bazarkulov and Umut Saadabaev.
