Bishkek, June 3, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 3 Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Sabirjan Abdikarimov held meeting with Founder of the Assanabil International Charitable Organization Saeed Bayoumi.
According to the Health Ministry's press service, during the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation issues in health care, construction and equipping of medical and obstetrical stations, etc.
According to Saeed Bayoumi, the Organization plans to provide assistance in the form of 7 ambulances, 4 ventilators, protective suits, respirators, masks and gloves for medical workers.
"Our foundation is trying to assist the health care system. From 2017 to 2019, we have built 41 paramedical and obstetrical stations, equipped them with basic necessities, and 30 more ones are being built this year. Taking into account the situation with coronavirus in the republic, we decided to support physicians by purchasing ambulances, ventilators and personal protective equipment. They will be purchased and handed over to the Health Ministry within the next 2 months," the founder said.
"The Kyrgyz Health Ministry has extensive experience working with your foundation. Thanks to your support, the primary health care service is improving both the infrastructure in the regions and counteracting the COVID-19 pandemic. We are very grateful for the assistance and support during the most difficult period for the health care system, and we express our gratitude in your person to all sponsors for their support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic ," said the minister.
Kyrgyzstan reported on Wednesday 26 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 1,871.
1,265 of them have recovered, 20 people have died.
