Bishkek, May 19, 2022. / Kabar /. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Associations of Seed Growers of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary took place in the city of Martonvashar (Hungary).
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Agreement was signed from the Kyrgyz side by the President of the Association of Seed Growers Abdukhakim Islamov and from the Hungarian side by President of the Association of Seed Growers Takach Geza.
The signing ceremony of the Agreement was held with the participation of Minister of Agriculture of Hungary Istvan Nagy, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov, FAO representatives.
In his speech, Minister Istvan Nagy emphasized that Hungarian seed producers do not use genetic modification of crops and continue to improve plant varieties through traditional breeding. The signing of the Agreement opens up opportunities for the implementation of joint projects in the field of agriculture.
Ambassador Kushchubekova also met with Minister of Agriculture of Hungary Nagy, during which they discussed projects for the supply of Kyrgyz beans and honey to European countries, the creation of meat and dairy farms in Kyrgyzstan, production facilities for processing agricultural products, as well as the possibility of organizing joint seed farms.
