Astana to host meeting of FMs of Central Asian countries with US Secretary of State

Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2023 / Kabar/. The heads of the ministries of foreign affairs of the Central Asian countries will meet in Astana with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said.

The meeting will take place within the framework of the Secretary of State's official visit to the neighboring republic, which is scheduled for February 28.

During his stay in Astana, the Secretary of State will be received by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and holds talks with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.

On the same day, Astana will host a ministerial meeting of the heads of foreign affairs ministries of the Central Asian countries and the United States in the C5 + 1 format with the participation of Blinken. The agenda includes issues of further development of regional cooperation and partnership with the United States.
