Ata Beyit hosts memorial events in remembrance of COVID-19 victims

Bishkek, July 30, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 30, the Ata-Beyit Memorial Complex hosted a memorial events to commemorate Kyrgyz citizens who became victims of the coronavirus pandemic, the press service of Kyrgyz President reported.

Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Speaker of the Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, Chairwoman of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kaliyeva, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Raimberdi Duishenbiev and Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Toktomushev took part in the memorial events.

On July 27, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed a Decree "On Declaring July 30, 2020 the Day of National Mourning in the Kyrgyz Republic".

Since the outbreak of coronavirus infection in the Kyrgyz Republic, the disease has taken the lives of many citizens of the country.

On the day of mourning the necessary activities will be held, state flags will be lowered on the whole territory of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on the buildings of diplomatic and consular missions abroad.

Cultural institutions and television and radio companies of the Kyrgyz Republic are recommended to cancel entertainment events and programs.
