Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2017. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev during his last press conference shared his feelings of transferring power to another person. The President admitted that he feels great relief.
“These past 6 years were long and hard for me. There were sleepless nights as well. The doctors told me that I am healthy, but I have a chronic sleep deprivation. I will have the opportunity to sleep now. There were difficult days when the country was on the brink of breakdown and war. Now it seems far and past," he said. He also said that after the inauguration of the new president, he intends to leave the country for a couple of weeks.
Atambayev emphasized that he will help the new head of state and prime minister to develop relations with leaders of other countries.
The inauguration of the newly elected president of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov will take placet on November 24. After the event Atambayev will leave the post as head of state.
