Bishkek, Feb. 28 / Kabar /. Until the end, all the small obstacles and barriers to the full entry of Kyrgyzstan in the Eurasian Economic Union will be removed. President Almazbek Atambayev said during a meeting with visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I am very happy that there is an opportunity once again to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation. It is symbolic that our meeting is taking place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations, we will celebrate this date on the 20th of March. And I am absolutely sure that in the future our country will be strategic allies and partners, as it should be between the two brotherly peoples with a common history," said Atambayev.
The President also said that in connection with the entry of Kyrgyzstan in the EEU bilateral relations are already moving to a higher level of trust and cooperation. "And here I want to thank again the Russian side and Vladimir Putin for the support and help that you render in this difficult period of transition – the country's adaptation period. Here I can openly say that thanks to the political will of the President of Russia a Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund was created with a registered capital of $ 500 million. In addition, at the same time it was decided to allocate $ 200 million as a technical assistance to solve the issues of Kyrgyzstan's integration into the EEU. And I'm sure that in spite of all the rumors and gossip, we did absolutely right, joining the EEU. We have the most correct way. And I also believe that before the end of the year with the help of the brotherly people we solve all the issues on full-fledged entry into the EEU and, I think, all the small obstacles will be removed," said the Kyrgyz leader.
The President also noted that today's meeting provides the opportunity to compare notes and discuss prospects for further cooperation.
