Moscow, June 21 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev today met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev as part of his state visit to Russia, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
The head of the Russian government warmly welcomed Almazbek Atambayev.
"You already had talks with the Russian President. I know that they were multifaceted, characterizing the multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Cooperation is developing, despite the economic difficulties that each country has. Nevertheless, the ties between the countries are strengthening, the economy is improving in both states," Medvedev said.
The head of the Russian government stressed projects that are now being implemented jointly both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
"I express the hope that your visit will serve to strengthen bilateral cooperation and friendly relations between our peoples," the head of the Russian government said.
In turn, Atambayev noted that he was very glad to meet and discuss the current issues of cooperation and outline plans for the future.
During the meeting, topical issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and prospects for further cooperation were discussed.
