Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an agreement on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, according to which 85% of the borders have been agreed.
"We were convinced that we can agree if we want and have a political will," Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said after the signing of the main document.
He said that, today there was a historical event.
"The peoples of the two countries have waited this day for 25 years. This is also the great merit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev," Atambayev said.
The head of state said that today during the negotiations in a narrow format the sides found mutual understanding on all the issues.
"We decided that before my visit to Uzbekistan, which will be in October, we must fulfill today's agreements," he said.
The Kyrgyz leader added that today he was once again convinced that there are no unsolvable issues.
