Atambayev instructs to strengthen supervision over observance of rule of law during presidential elections

Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2017 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev received the country's Prosecutor General Indira Dzoldubaeva, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.

During the meeting, President Atambayev was informed about the work carried out by the Prosecutor General's Office to oversee the observance of the electoral legislation during the period of the election campaign for candidates for the presidency.

The Prosecutor General said that the relevant supervision and control has been strengthened.

At the end of the meeting Atambayev instructed the Prosecutor General's Office to strengthen supervision over observance of the rule of law during the presidential elections and to take tough measures in identifying violations of the electoral legislation.
