Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2017 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev received today chairman of the board of the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund (KRDF) Erkin Asrandiev, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
During the meeting, the head of state was informed about financing of small and medium business projects, the growth dynamics of the loan portfolio, as well as measures to further increase the access of entrepreneurs to concessional loans.
Asrandiev said that, the most of the money allocated by the Fund are directed to the agro-industrial complex and the sphere of production, and out of 780 approved projects a third falls on the regions of the country.
Atambayev stressed that the Development Fund should continue to actively participate in the modernization of the country's economy through the financing of projects aimed at developing export and import substitution potential. He also said it is necessary to ensure not only targeted and effective use of loans, but also to assist entrepreneurs in developing their activities, introducing advanced and modern methods of doing business and management.
The head of state also said that the Development Fund needs to participate more actively in financing the housing construction sector, which will have an important multiplier effect on the country's economy.
