Bishkek, July 21 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev met in Issyk-Kul, at the state residence in the city of Cholpon-Ata, with head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of Russia Rustem Khamitov who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the International Forum "Altai civilization and related peoples of the Altaic language family".
The Kyrgyz president’s press service reported that Atambayev warmly greeted the guest, noting that he was glad to meet again. The head of state also expressed gratitude to Rustam Khamitov for participating in the forum.
"I am grateful to you and your delegation that you came to Kyrgyzstan and took part in the forum of the Altai civilization. I think this is a good way leading to unification, friendship, "Atambayev said.
Khamitov, in turn, expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the forum and to meet in the format of business, scientific and practical activities.
"Today I sincerely said that you raised a huge topic, a huge stratum. We need to move forward on the path of rapprochement of our peoples, the linguistic and cultural interaction of our citizens. Thank you very much," said the head of Bashkortostan
"This kind of work, of course, supposes close cooperation. Thank you very much to our scientists. They will now actively promote this topic, study it, "Khamitov said.
During the meeting, they discussed the issues of further deepening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Bashkortostan.
