He said that today's meeting is very important. "When the National Council for Sustainable Development was just created, many politicians were against it. Moreover, they unanimously noted that this is unnecessary. This was the time when the country, tormented by authoritarian rule and experienced the second revolution. And then the main thing for us was to restore stability in society, the state, to restore the faith of people, citizens of Kyrgyzstan for a better life. The main thing was to restore people's belief that we can live in a normal country, with normally functioning political and state institutions, a country without corruption, without judicial arbitrariness, a country with fair elections, "Atambayev said.
He said that, this was a strategy for restoring Kyrgyz statehood, a program to restore people's hope for a better life, faith in their people and their future.
