Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2018. /Kabar/. Hassan Baudunov from Kyrgyzstan won the bronze medal at the Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the official website of the competition wrote.
The 17-year-old representative of the Kyrgyz Republic performed in epee competitions.
Having passed the group stage, he defeated the representative of Japan - Seiya Asami with the score of 15:9. In the semifinals, lost to an athlete from Germany - Paul Veltrup (15:12). Award he fought for the bronze with Egyptian - Mohamed El Said and defeated him (14:13). Thus, he became the third at the Olympics.
Kyrgyzstan has two medals in its collection: silver and bronze.
Baudunov is the silver medalist of the Asian Championship in Thailand, the Asian champion in the UAE.
