Athletes from Kyrgyzstan not to be sent to countries with identified coronavirus cases

Bishkek, Mar.2, 2020 /Kabar/. Domestic athletes will not compete or train in countries where coronavirus cases have been identified, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

"In order to ensure sanitary-epidemiological well-being and prevention of infection with coronavirus, it was decided to suspend the deployment of domestic athletes to competitions and training camps in countries where cases of disease have been identified,” the report says.

Director of the State Agency Kanat Amankulov instructed subordinate agencies to ensure compliance with sanitary standards in all sports facilities.

Holding of group sports events will be coordinated with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health.
