Bishkek, June 19, 2023. / Kabar/. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won prizes at the VII World Games of Young Compatriots, the press service of the Russian House in Bishkek reported.
Competitions were held in Moscow from 12 to 18 June. Young volleyball players from Kyrgyzstan successfully performed at the games, winning gold medals. The team consisted of three boys and three girls.
Aimonchok Zhunusbekova became the bronze medalist of the chess tournament. Aaron Park entered the top ten. In the team standings, chess players from Kyrgyzstan took fourth place.
Basketball players from Kyrgyzstan took 6th place out of 20 teams.
All athletes took part in the educational program "Dialogues in Russian", conducted by volunteers of the project of the Alexander Pushkin State Institute "Ambassadors of the Russian Language". The guys competed in the knowledge of the history and culture of Russia. A rich cultural excursion program was provided for the participants of the games.
The Games are organized by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, the All-Russian Federation of School Sports with the support of the Department of Sports of the City of Moscow. This year, about 200 participants aged 12-14 arrived at the competition.
